There is something undeniably timeless and romantic about shooting bridal portraits on real film. With its soft, dreamy quality and rich, natural colors, film captures the essence of a moment in a way that digital photography simply cannot replicate. Recently, I had the pleasure of photographing Stephanie for her bridal portraits using real film (Kodak Ektar 35mm), and the results were absolutely stunning.
As a photographer, shooting on film requires a different mindset than shooting on digital. Every shot is precious, as there is a limited number of frames on a roll of film. This forces you to slow down and really think about each shot, which ultimately leads to more deliberate and thoughtful compositions.
For this particular bridal portrait session, we chose subtle tones and fresh florals to elevate the studio environment.
If you are looking to have timeless, romantic portraits done in your wedding gown, let’s craft a session on film together!
